The hummingbird feeder was packaged in a mesh bag in a box, no additional padding but there was no damage. The coating was intact, all the components were present and there were no sharp edges.The design is unusual. The framework is coated metal and very sturdy. All the welds are strong.The plastic nectar cups are thick and the lids snap on securely and, crucially, come apart for thorough cleaning. Hummingbirds are very sensitive to mold and if the feeders aren't perfectly clean it can harm them. Frequent cleaning and refreshing with new nectar is the only way to keep the little creatures safe. For anyone serious about providing for them, this is a deal breaker. That alone makes this feeder worth five stars.I like that the nectar cups are small. It's much better for the birds to have a smaller amount that's refreshed more often than a large volume that can sit too long and grow mold.

So cute and unique! I hang mine on a shepherds hood and for the first time in years, I got three little humming birds! They love the perch and will sit for so long. It's super easy to clean and comes with mascara wands to deep clean inside. It also has an ant moat at the top. It said bees and wasps can't use it but I had a couple bees fueling up at it last year!! I love it and I'm going to be getting more for gifts. You can "stack" them...rather hang one on the bottom of another and it's so pretty!

Super value, well built and great quality. Hummers love it. Versatile…you can mix and match colors from the cup / lid and flowers. Bonus!.. they give you too extra complete nectar cups! Buy buy buy!

They love it! They get mad at me when I take it down to fill. I get a bird every 5 minutes....so fun
